
Williams kindergarteners had a blast today carving pumpkins with fire! Our budding scientists observed a reaction between calcium carbide and water, which produced flammable acetylene gas. Once the pumpkins were filled, the acetylene gas was sparked creating a small controlled explosion, sending pumpkin pieces flying! #JPWElementary #Cardstudentsareworthit
